Feature request - propertis panel on hover

It would be nice if i could access the properties panel just by hovering over the wrench icon, when i use a compact toolbar. BTW the properties bubble could be larger.
I want to maximize screen space, and clicking the icon every time i want to change something is annoying.
I know that there is actions panel, but properties panel is more convenient for me.

totally agree! i try to use the commmand f 11 key but it doesn't do anthing. (and i did set my f keys to the right behaviour.)

I use three custom hotkeys:
V for opening and closing the midi editor
B to open and close the browser
N to enlarge /close the property panel

All are next to each other and close to play pause (spacebar). Works quite quick on w10

shift+F is favorit action panel - whether this will be done using the Esc key to remove it
otherwise you need to click somewhere with the mouse
