Hi guys
So recently started on my journey trying to make a few tunes. Doesn't help that I am IT illiterate. I am attempting to record a sustained note in Sylenth recording in the automation as I go. It will allow me to do so and I can play back the clip which includes my automation. However if I move away from said recording then go back to the clip all sound seems to have disappeared although I can see my recording.
Any ideas on where I am going wrong?
I would also be keen to learn if there is an easy way to add back in automation on preinput notes/chords as opposed to recording in as haven't manged to figure this out as yet?
Apologies if basic questions but trying to find my feet.

Hi, I'm not quite sure what you mean, but recording/editing automation is a DAW specific thing, so you're probably better off asking these questions at your DAW software's support forum.

So I’m using Ableton. Can hit record and key my notes from Sylenth and it records my clip. However if save and exit and go back to said clip all sound has disappeared. Any ideas

Can you send a video maybe, that shows what you're doing exactly and what goes wrong?
