If not. I'd like to discuss and learn about music created with U-he products. I for one would recommend all of the KVR One Synth Challenges done with U-he synths. There are some absolutely amazing tracks to be found there.

Jazinsky with Zebralette really sticks out and Podolski generated some nifty stuff as well.

What about commercial releases?

Are any of you guys doing stuff with U-he stuff as well

Sure it does....I find it interesting to learn and discuss what actual musicians and producers are deciding to use in their productions. In this case it is to discuss one particular developer. Why Uhe.....because they are widley accepted as being a front runner in VSTi sound.
Do producers choose VSTi over HW?
Is all this hype really being used or just for latenight mouse twirlers?
Let's join in and listen to some tunes together
...besides....you ain't got nutin bedda to do......and I'm bored.

Hey Tony

Thanks for chiming in. I checked out the beatport site....pretty cool. Is there a particular track you would refer us to listen to?

U-he is great , so it TALmod , reaktor etc.., and it doesn't matter what producer xyz uses you just need some kind of confirmation .

Of course Uhe plugins are good, but I just sold a bunch of them (except for Diva). Why? I rarely use them. I reach for other stuff. As for being a front runner? Well, given that people have been making good music with all sorts of things, including hissy tape, grainy sounding digital synths from the 80s, and *gasp* synths WITHOUT zero delay filters, it doesn't matter at all.

At least, I don't give a sh** about it. I use what works for me, that's all. It's better to be productive. Indeed, I just bought a bunch of inexpensive hardware synths, and I still have more software than I can count, so whatever works for you...

In the KVR OSC for April. Any one synth. Carl Saved used Tyrell. IIRC he placed top 3 out of 51.

I wrote this only using Bazille:

Here's the tyrell one:

Obviously tons more in the old KVR OSCs.

I hate to talk about my own work without someone specifically asking (must be because I'm Finnish...), but since someone is asking (kind of): I have used u-he synths and effects quite a lot on our albums in the last 5 years or so, and I'm sure I'll use them even more in the future. For example the arpeggio that opens our latest single and runs basically through the whole song is Diva, and all vocals on our latest album are compressed with Presswerk. (Almost all our albums have been #1 on the album chart, and our latest single was featured in the video game Control, don't know if that's because of u-he plugins, but you never know :D)

Sometimes people find things interesting.

I don't know about commercial releases, but I've seen a lot of established producers talk fondly about Diva.

It's interesting that for music made using physical instruments, it is normal for fans to learn about which type of guitar their favourite band uses for example, whereas if you ask such questions about electronic music, you must be seeking some kind of 'confirmation' . If I ever release an album I'm gonna list the main plugins used in the liner notes :). I wonder why artists don't seem to do that very often, apart from the public youtuber types... maybe they think it will break the sense of mystery around their tracks.

Jonas Aden is a pretty excessive user and advertiser of Diva. He has 600k Monthly listeners on spotify. I think that can count as commercial.

He does making ofs on youtube. The bass from Brooks and Jonas Aden - Riot(1.8M streams) is using the init patch from diva if I remember correctly.

I think U-he should add testimonials on their site. Like reveal-sound for example. Where well known Artists say that their synth is good.

Awesome responses guys.
I realize anyone can use anything in a production. This is more about top tier VSTs replacing hardware and it seems UHE is at the top of the list. So I chose them for this topic. I have used some UHE stuff on published work as well but I work totally with VST so it wasnt a choice for me/

I put a new song in my music website called "For You", it is the song on top. It has some Repro-5 and Hive 2 synths, and some non-u-he synths. The vocals and the acoustic drums go through Presswerk compression; and then the entire mix goes through Presswerk compression. Please tell me how you like the song and how it can be improved.
