What do you thinke about their subscription models? For 9 Euro a value of 400 Euro.
Changeable RE in combination with the lite version. Sounds good or did i miss a point?

It was €39 in December (50% sale). At the time I didn't know how to get it running in Maschine and I also had doubts about which devices I would actually use instead of the VST plugins I already have, so I returned it.
o yes. yes the reason rack plugin is vst3 only. maschine will get vst3 support, but it is ages since last update of maschine (which i really like, was a way of working, that i used to have, but now with more possibilites, and non-destructive).

quite ironic, while reason 10/11 only support vst2...... like maschine... (all native instruments stuff is vst2)
I recently figured out how to do this. Metaplugin by DDMF ($49 here: https://ddmf.eu/metaplugin-chainer-vst- ... x-wrapper/) is a VST2 plugin that loads VST3 plugins. Load Metaplugin in Maschine, load Reason VST in Metaplugin, and you are ready to go. I believe there are other "chainer" plugins that would probably serve the same function, but I believe Metaplugin may be the least expensive option.
I wrote a free vst3 wrapper years ago, it should work in Reason and Maschine too (if they support shell vsts). Otherwise you have to use the shell2vst tool to create regular vsts from the shell.

Thanks! The shell2vst is the better option because you can choose to bridge just plugins without VST2 versions. Whereas the other option can lead to duplicates.

You should list it on the KVR database. It's a really useful utility.

No.

You will either have to upgrade to full Reason 12 or join the Reason+ subscription.

The guy's asking if the free Reason 11 Lite (or whatever it was, Intro?) will have scalable GUI. The answer is no, it won't.

My mistake, i thought he was just generally asking about Reason.

I recently visited the Reason Studios site a few times... it's really weird. They seem to not only try to "hide" that there's an option to buy a perpetual license for Reason (it's really all about Reason+...), but, the store is also only available on the bottom end on the site, where the site links are positioned. I wish them all the best with their business model, but, it's a bit sad to see where they're heading (especially considering that Presonus is also on the best way to going more and more subscription based).

What has that to do with this thread? Not much. Just in lack of a better current Reason topic. :)

In case anyone is wondering, the free Reason Rack at Plugin Boutique was LAST July. Another example of why bumping old threads is not a good idea.

Anyway I fell for it last year and it wasn't even worth the price of free....to me. Have never used it since.....

I used it - dole my suite license - still have all the suite rack extensions plus the ones I had already bought available. Great!
