mCompare FR: quick slots for filter settings and line break for 'Files' slots to get rid of constant scrolling

I use mCompare all the time.

I noticed two things which would enhance the workflow a lot for me.

Filter quick slots:
You have only one filter. That means I have to change it a lot. I would like to have 3 or 4 quick slots to set and change the filter setting on click. Like to switch between setting for sub, bass, mid, high.

Line break:
When you use more than 4 slots for 'Files' mCompare get pretty wide. Especially when you use also the analyser. It would be so grea when the 'Files' slots could use also a second line, so that you can see 8 or more slots without constant scrolling.

Now:
Slot1, Slot2, Slot3, Slot4, Slot5, Slot6, Slot7, Slot8

With break:
Slot1, Slot2, Slot3, Slot4,
Slot5, Slot6, Slot7, Slot8

Thanks for the feedback. I'm afraid this is very very difficult to do considering the stylability, various display sizes, resizing... Perhaps multiparameters would do the trick? I could add like 32 of them, so you could trigger various things with just one vertical set of controls.

Thanks for the answer, melda.

Multiparameter to quickly switch between different filter settings? Sounds like a solution. I like to use the filter to focus listen on different frequency regions, like bass, mids, highs. So when you could switch between different user filter settings, perfect.

I guess for the slot access problem, multiparameters would not help right? I understand the effort related to resizing with line breaks. Just an idea, would it be easy to add just a second line of 'Files'? This way you could have two lines visible without any complicated resizing logic, not needing so much vertical screen space or scrolling to switch between 10+ reference files.

Well, putting stuff into 2 lines is certainly possible, not sure how well it would help though... people have very different workflows...
