If I use a custom wave to create a patch in zebra , after saving the patch, does it still need to reference teh wavetable file , or does it get saved in the preset metadata ?
Asking it for the sake of portability .

Will this also be the case with Zebra3 ?

yes/no

We'll certainly allow for all that Hive loads. It loads 2MB wavetables as well as 1kB script files.

We plan to embed script files in presets, but not much larger .wav files.

However, we have made very good experience with Hive. A robust system of "I'll figure out which wavetable to load and where it is" has helped a lot.

Furthermore, Z3 will have similar capabilities of editable waveforms/tables as Z2, but I doubt we need to go extra large. We need smart. Smart fits in presets.

Looking forward to what Zebra 3 brings in that area. I like that Hive2 loads those big wavetables and that Zebra 3 will too, for some things there is just no substitute for that.
But then for many things Zebra2 wavetables are more than enough, so if Zebra3 expands on the size just a bit coupled with whatever smart you come up with its gonna be good for another decade or so at least. ;)
As long as the waveforms i edit inside Zebra3 are saved within the patches like they are now i will probably be happy already, and then having the scripts inside the patches too should indead make organizing things a lot easier

Upcoming free days reserved for getting into uhm already :hyper:
