(Hope this hasn't been covered before - couldn't find a relevant topic with the search...)
I'm considering getting Tracktion. Since I haven't bought my soundcard yet either (which will probably be an maudio fw 410 ou 1814 but i'm not 100% decided yet), I was wondering if there was a list of compatible or incompatible sound cards somewhere... Couldn't find that on tracktion's website either.
(I'm running macOsX 10.3.5 on a pbookG4, in case there are compatibility issues on that side too?)
Thanks for any tip, cheers,

technically tracktion is compatible with any soundcard that supports either directx or ASIO, ie - all of them. However the drivers and implementation from individual manufacturers varies greatly. Personally, I've used a delta44 and terratec ews88d and a couple onboard soundcards with tracktion, and haven't had problems in over a year or so (there was once a problem with delta cards but that's been fixed)
Any of the cards you mentioned should be solid, and I know that aleatoric uses a mac and highly recommends the quattro. Oh, and I think there was one guy who had a problem with a motu 828, but don't quote me on it

Doesn't tracktion use CoreAudio on the mac???glurgle wrote:technically tracktion is compatible with any soundcard that supports either directx or ASIO
Thanks for the reply anyway. I all goes well, I'll buy my card this weekend, so i should be able to test tracktion with it. On the other hand, if it doesn't work, I dunno what app I'd go for
