Hi,

just purchased the Mfilter and loving it.

One thing I can't fathom is how to modulate the rate frequency on the different mods at the bottom.

Ideally I would like to assign an lfo to the rate frequency to adjust the speed of the modulator.

I can't seem to assign it in reaper either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Give this a try:
-- switch to the Edit screen,
-- open the Editor for one of the 4 Modulators,
-- Enable it and set its Shape, Frequency etc.,
-- in the Parameters section, select the target(s) (here I have picked the Frequencies of 2 other Modulators),
-- set the Ranges too (1 Hz to 2 Hz in my example),
-- close the Editor.

-- open the Editor for the target Modulator,
-- Enable it and set its Shape etc.,
-- you should see the Frequency changing,
-- in the Parameters section, select the target(s) (EQ 2 Gain in my example).
-- you should see the Gain changing at a range of speeds.

To try it out, paste this code into a spare A...H slot (in the Toolbar on the right-hand side, use the third button below the [A/B] button to paste it)

Code: Select all

Awesome thanks Darkstar!

That's very close to what i'm after.

Ive managed to make a hybrid where modulator 2 modulates modulator 1's frequency and then if I move the "max' amount on modulator 2 it varies the speed. It's still a little bit random though and not as controlled as if I just move the mouse on the frequency. Also I would then need to automate the "max" over time (not sure if that is possible using reaper?)

To automate Mod 2's target parameter's MAX:
-- map that Max knob to a spare Multiparameter ("MP"),
-- name the MP "Mod 2 P1 Max"
-- the Multiparameters are all visible in Reaper,
-- create an automation envelope for that parameter

Here it is in MFIlter:

Code: Select all
