Problems with Ample guitar M Lite in Cakewalk by Bandlab

Hi everyone,
I use AGML v.2.31 and the latest version of Cakewalk.
When I use the strummer and I press (click) one of the notes between C1 and B1 and then one of the black keys from C3 onwards, everything sounds (and strums) fine.

However, when I do the same by entering things manually via the piano roll in Cakewalk, nothing happens.
All I can hear is a "Swish" on the odd note, like a guitarist moving his finger on a string.
I have literally tried everything: fiddled with the MIDI settings, tried all the settings in AGML, just everything.

Has anyone else gone through similar experiences?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks for your inquiry.

The pitch name in Cakewalk and FL are different with other DAWs. the C1 is C3 in the Cakewalk.

However, a reference to that in the manual would have helped.
