How do I use a microphone to make a vocal track please. I know it will be easy and obvious but a little direction would be nice.
Thanks guys

You have to enable your soundcard-input which receives the mic-signal in the preferences and then just drop its corresponding icon in the arrangement-page towards that track you intend to record the vocals, that's all.
Sorry if I can't give you the correct name of the dialog-page where you have to enable the soundcard-in's/-out's as I'm on a different logon - and, erm, well... a bitt too stoned as well to remember.
hope that helps.

It's on the middle page ... Settings > Audio Devices
On my setup I have "Line-in Left + Line-in Right" enabled, which causes the "Line-in" icon to appear to the left of the tracks on the Edit page
You might need a pre-amp to boost the microphone's signal (if your sound-card does not have one built-in)
