Bug: MSoundfactory: Generator Additive -> Unwanted Overtones (> 6 kHz) are produced after a few seconds or so

Hi all,
if I program a simple sine wave with the additive generator and play it longer than a few seconds, I can hear a change in sound in the higher frequencies. SPAN shows this too. The generator starts to produces more and more additional frequencies after a few seconds (+10).

I have done so: "AdditiveOvertoneBug" in folder onlineexchange.

I don't know exactly what you mean. Presets are records in a database is stated in the documentation. I do not find this database. Meanwhile I figured out to export a single preset. But If I try to attach this xml file to my post I get an error message "invalid file extension .mpreset".

Now I got it, thanks a lot. I always looked for buttons underneath the menubar.
Here is the result:

Confirmed here - I can see it in various Spectrum Analyses (that extend below -60dB) but cannot hear the change.

I admit it's hard to hear. I used headphones and at first I thought there is something wrong with them or my tinnitus is getting worse...But if you program more complex sounds (with more operators and overtones) I am sure you will notice it.
And...due to Meldaproduction sells MSF with the words "the best soundgenerators available" I thought I should inform them about this issue.

I was curious about that phenomenon, so I tried it out. Every few seconds the waveform becomes more and more complex.

Actually the advanced oscillators are not used in Additive module, since considering the number of waves it needs to produce, it would just take way too much CPU. So aliasing can indeed occur here. I tried it here and indeed there is some, but whatever I tried I just couldn't here it, it was just in the analyzer
. Anyways Exteme Nx w quality and / or upsampling is the only way here. I think it usually won't matter, since with additive synthesis you are likely to use several waves (otherwise there's no point in it
) and the aliasing should get burried in it. But if you want the best quality, oversampling is the only way indeed.
