MSoundFactory: Is there any way to edit an existing instrument to expand or modify it?

I'm using the demo version but it's good to know in case I decide to buy it.
I'd like to edit certain existing instruments and see how they're made and maybe expand on them or whatever. So far I found that the "Edit" section has its own presets but I specifically want to see how "Kick factory" is made and modify it.
Is it possible? Thanks in advance.

In the full version you can definitely deconstruct most devices (altho some may be saved by the maker as not editable—Kick Factory wasn't:)), since when switching into Edit mode you have access to the grids, modules, and multiparameters they were built with. Plus you can save grid presets (and module presets) from favorite devices which makes it much faster to swap parts around. You also have to copy/paste the associated MPs once you have the grid or module preset loaded in your new device, but that's easy too; they just have to be pasted into exactly the same numbered slots in the Manager as they came from. I've no idea what the demo limitations are regarding editing…

It must be a version of MSF, which allows access to the edit page and the device has to be editable, yes.
"Kick factory" is editable, by the way. The only thing is that the whole device seem to be made in the FX matrix only. So the generator tab is empty here, hehe.

The top 3 modules in Kick Factory's FX section are Sound Factories.

One cool, simple way to add new FX to any existing MSF device is to load MSF as the top module in an empty FX grid, then open that instance of MSF and load any device into it. You can access both devices and the edit mode from there.Tagirijus wrote: Mon Sep 14, 2020 8:28 am The only thing is that the whole device seem to be made in the FX matrix only. Then you can start loading in new FX modules, or if you've got FX-grid presets, you can load those in first, then slide them all down so there's room for an MSF module at the top feeding into all those below. If the FX-grid preset has its own device presets those will work fine, and all the MPs will be on the Device view of your new creation. The device inside the MSF module will give you access to its device presets, which you can keep open while you also view the new device controls and presets.
