Hi in this one I walkthrough how to use MDrumEnhancer. Its a great plugin that can really improve acoustic drum recordings. In the future I'll show some creative uses for it. I hope you find this helpful.

Thanks Chandler! This is a good plugin to quickly dial in a decent drum sound and move on... Of course I have a couple of questions for whoever.

Could someone explain to me what the "Dry/wet compensation" right above the "Character" knob does?
From the manual:

Dry/wet compensation switch improves the Dry/wet and Character level handling and usually provides more consistent output level.

And now that I mention it, I'm also curious about the "Character" knob?

Character controls the enhancement signal type. Different values simply sound different, so it is advised to set this by trial and error or just leave it as default. The basic idea is that the processor enhances the original input, but also creates a completely new enhancement signal, and the character controls the ratio between them.

"signal type"? I am wondering is the character knob is maybe adjusting the transients or sustain, or perhaps saturating/clipping and EQing the signal for phatness based on some magical and proprietary algorithm designed by Vojtech?

Obviously, I have no idea...
