- In the actual pattern data, you can scale down the volume, but not scale up, so in a new step clip, all channels should be set by default to "Velocity: 127" instead of 96.
- When you click on the keyboard to audition the sound on that channel, it sets the channel velocity to a value determined by the y-position on which you clicked the key. I've been caught out by this so many times, wondering why a certain instrument is so quiet. Please get rid of it.
- You can only audition the sound by clicking on the keyboard graphic or by pressing Test Note. You can't click on the key marker itself unless you're clicking it for the first time after selecting the channel in the pattern window. Clicking on the keyboard, which is the natural thing to do of course causes the Velocity of the channel to automatically be set to a new velocity due to the mouse y-position as detailed above. You have to move the key marker onto another key and then back again to audition with the key marker.
- In the pattern itself, whenever you click on one of the channels (clicking the instrument name) at the left, it should audition the sound on that channel.
