How do I stop playback jumping all over the place whilst I'm zoomed in editing sequence placements?
Thanks for your help.

Within the timeline, audio streams, and MIDI/audio sequences, you can right click in an empty area and select the "Auto-Scroll" option. If there is a checkmark next to it, it is turned on. Clicking it will turn it off.
You can also go to preferences and set "Define Auto-Scroll" to the Off value, which will turn it off within audio streams, MIDI, and audio sequences by default.
Unfortunately this doesn't turn it off in the main timeline. I think it would be a nice implementation for this feature to exist, or maybe even scrolling as it plays back instead of one segment at a time.

I looked at the "Default Auto Scroll" option which said it was off, which is why I came here. I just couldn't understand why it was auto-scrolling if that option was disabled???

That preference only defines the default Auto-Scroll setting for new objects.
Changing that preference does not affect already existing objects.
Changing the Auto-Scroll setting itself is done via the objects's context menu.

Object? You mean per project? Surely there should be a global option that stops this happening! Why would you want it per project? Wierd!!!
