Hi, I purchased Diva a while ago, and I wanted to download the latest update. I just clicked the download next to the purchase button and installed it thinking it would just overwrite the previous version, but when I load Diva it now says that it failed to load and to contact the manufacturer. Do I need to activate this anywhere? And what is the proper way to download u-he updates...? It's been such a long time since I've done this, any advice on what i've done wrong would be appreciated.
Thanks
John

That's the correct way to update the plugin.
I assume you are on Windows. During installation, you will have to check that the suggested installation paths for the plugins and the Diva.data folder do match the actual locations of the previously installed version.
Usually, the plugin will find the correct location, yet sometimes it won't be able to find the last installation and suggests a default location.
In such a case, you end up with two installations of the plugin.
You also have to make sure to update all the plugin formats you had previously installed. Otherwise some links to the files might not be updated, or old plugin versions might not be compatible with the newer files.
If you do not know the correct installation paths anymore, best thing would be to search for all Diva related files, delete them (but save your user presets, if you have any), and then run the installer again, to have a clean new installation.
If you are having trouble with all this, you can also contact our support, so we can help you with this.

Thanks for the reply. It must have been a glitch as it worked second time around. Probably just needed to close down and try again... classic. Glad I'm updating correctly though. Cheers!
