Hi.
Under Windows 10 in Samplitude, I have no success in loading MDrummer's essential pack.
The funny thing is that what I see is different from what is shown on this youtube tutorial :
please have a look at my 2 screenshots below and tell me if you can help.
Cheers,

I'm pretty sure there needs to be an instrument that uses the drum samples for MSF Essentials to be able to "use" them...

Hello Vojtech,
thanks for replying, but your post concerns MSound factory, that I was not planning to use at all. I'm trying to load the essential drum pack in MDrummer. So I don't think MSound factory is involved at all is it?
Thanks,

Looking at your 'DOWNLOAD & INSTALL' pic I'm thinking you might have created that MDrummer factory path?
You need to point to your existing MDrummer data folder which is usually in program data.

Sorry! I quickly looked at your pic and immediately assumed MSF since most of the questions have been related to that. My bad.jprykiel wrote: Fri Oct 23, 2020 1:49 pm Hello Vojtech,

Hi Goldglob.
MDrummer lets you choose in which folder to store its data. In my case, I have a drive dedicated to that, as the C drive is not the best place for this.
However if someone had time to look at the YouTube tutorial and then at my screenshots, to tell me why they look so different. The YouTube tutorial is quite recent, (2019), and the bit I'm interested in starts when launching MDrummer after its installation.
Thanks for your help again.

Yes, I do the same, my MDrummer data folder is not on the C drive. I thought you might have been creating a new path that was clashing with an older path from a previous installation?
I've looked at the video you linked to, but nothing springs to mind re your question (and the video is indeed old).
So, you have installed MDrummer and you have installed MDrummerEssentials.
What happens when you open MDrummer?

Hi Goldglob.
I have downloaded MDrummer essential, but I don't think you can install it really. It has an extension I have never seen before, and the only way to use it, from what I understood from the video, is to use that window in MDrummer, that is totally different from the video in my screenshot. Unless there is something I missed, but even the manual says nothing about this does it?
If you have a solution I would be really glad to have it, and I would also feel a little stupid not to have found it myself LOL.
Cheers,

I think the confusion might be because there are two ways to install it.
1/ You can do it from the DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL screen....this does it all for you, no need to download it manually.
2/ You can manually download it then use 'Install manually downloaded products or MDrummer packs' (see at the bottom of the 2nd pic), which opens your 1st pic. Another way to get to that 1st pic is from within MD/Menu/Install MDrummer pack.
Once on the 1st pic window you select the MDrummerEssentials file on the right then click OK.....but is that what you have been doing without success?

I have tried both ways, but in neither cases did my target folder get populated with anything.
But an idea just came to me, is this because I am trying to use the demo version?
Cheers.
