Workaround for legacy EMU X3 64 bit?

Hello, I am trying to use this legacy 64 bit plugin in M8.

There is a registry fix provided to support the effects portion under 64 bits.

Effects look like they are stored in a separate folder with a bunch of DLL's.

The registry fix/key points to the given folder path for the 64 bit effects tied to the plugin.

I tried it but when loading the plugin there is an error:

"Exception while initializing aeffect stuff for Emulator X"

Is there a way to circumvent this?

Plugin works fine in VST host 64 bit.

Thanks

Bump please as this is a valid 64 bit plugin? Thanks

The exception = crash occurs inside the plugin, so please contact the plug dev about this.

Somewhere on the Kvr computer setup forum there was info about getting Emu stuff and Emulator to work, might be worth you having a look there. Hope that helps.

The 64 bit plugin works pretty much everywhere else including myself in VST host.

I guess I'll write it off, too bad.

Contacting the developer is not valid here.

You could try to run it inside DDMF Metaplugin Demo in M8 if all else fails.

Thanks for the recommendation it's a bit costly and would rather not have a wrapper as well..

Does it solve your problem?

Yes I have applied this universally accepted fix which is why I am able to use it in vsthost.

It looks like Mulab is a bit sensitive on something I can't figure it out

Thanks
