Files Missing - A Common Problem?

Hello everyone,

I've used Waveform Free for a few weeks with only one of my sessions losing it's files but it somehow fixed itself so I don't know. But now it's a big enough problem I need some help.

I have an 82 track multitrack that I meticulously organized into Waveform Free. Overnight I upgraded from the Free version to Pro. Now all 82 tracks are missing from the edit (not having moved anything, the only thing that has changed is the version).

Am I going to have to manually find these audio files for Waveform (in the same folders they were added from last time) or is there a simpler automated way for Waveform to refind the files? Or is there some directory I can copy and paste these tracks into?

Thanks!
John

There is a quick way to find the files again with the DAW - go to 'projects' tab and select your edit - then choose 'find referenced material' option from the properties

Not sure why the file associations would have got broken - did you do any other updates to your OS?

Are those 82 tracks that you recorded in Waveform Free or 82 tracks that you imported into Waveform Free? If it's the latter, did you "make copy" or "don't copy"?
Surely there must be consensus by now...
