FR: MSF Harmonisation based on scales

Hi,
In Globals in the Advanced Settings section, there is the Harmony function, which is already pretty powerful, as you can add up to 6 tuned voices to the played note. This is cool, but it is also limitating you, because it adds notes which stand in relation to the source note, what creates always the same chord.
Now it would be really great, if one could choose or even better enter a scale, on which basis the additional notes would be added. E.g. one would enter the major scale in C, which could be coded as C:101011010101, then you would choose which tones to be added in relation to the scale and the played note, e.g. the third and the fifth, so you would get always the chords, which belong to the chosen scale. Of course there are far more theorethical possibilities, but this would already open huge possibilities.
I hope I could explain the requested feature in a clear way. There are some plugins, like NI Massive X, where similar harmonisation possibilities are already implemented. Hope to hear from you soon!
BR!

That sounds cool. There is also this midi plugin option for in key harmonization:

There are also a few, which harmonise audio material, e.g. Quadravox & Octavox by Eventide. This would be a cool new feature for MSpectraldelay as well

+1 for a "global quantizer ".
I think, it could be better to have it in a module ( per voices).
It could open some doors: polyphonic generative music based on user scale, like we can find in Hive2 for example or in a modular environment.
Let's Vojtech think about it, I'm pretty sure, if he finds some time, I will put his unique touch on it !

I'll check, but it would actually seem more logical to use some MIDI plugin for this. You know, there will need to be some scaling settings somewhere, the features will be limited...

I only own Quadravox, but this is already a monstermccy wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:21 pm Indeed Octavox is very cool! I like thatone best so far. Very clean sounding and extremely fast reacting (for live use).
A module would probably nail itWhywhy wrote: Fri Nov 06, 2020 7:31 am I think, it could be better to have it in a module ( per voices).
