It seems like every time I play around with this beast, the output volume is significantly lower than the dry version after band rebalancing and a final level matched A/B test. I think my problem is that I'm completely lost when it comes to the gain structure, but I'm not even 100% sure if that's it. There is a global input gain which is pre-bandsplit, followed by input and output gains for each individual band that seemingly come before the individual band's threshold setting, which conveniently also seems to implement its own sort of "maximization" gain settings to the signal behind the scenes. All of this excludes the gain setting for each band on the actual bandsplit graph itself, and none of those appear to be tied to the input/output gains in the individual bands' menus (at least not visually).
I've checked the manual, and to try to avoid another discussion on those, I'll leave it at that... I tried sifting through the presets, but couldn't make much sense of how or why the input and output gains were set the way they were. Maybe I'm just stupid (and I am willing to take that as an answer, so long as I get the plugin figured out as well) but that doesn't really change the fact that this plugin leaves me incredibly confused and frustrated. Prior to this, I mainly used Trash 2, but I've found myself coming back to Melda products over time.
Any experts here who can possibly help walk me through their standard operation of the plugin?

You get lower volume?
No idea what you are doing then, the opposite is typical. Anyways there's the AGC
. If you have a problem with gain staging just enable it and you are done. Perhaps use Set instead.

Hi and thanks for reaching out!
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong either, but I'm sure it's my own user error here
I have no issues (or so I think) when using the free fullband version, so I think I'm getting lost between all of the individual bands' inputs and thresholds. I can clearly hear the difference that the saturation is making when adjusting my monitoring, and I usually rebalance the individual bands by ear, but when I move on to dry/wet level matching I've lost a bit of loudness after the processing.
Currently I'm trying to use a 2 band setup high distortion/clipping on the high band while maintaining a warmer and much lighter push on the low band, if it helps to know what I'm attempting to do.
Thank you in advance

I am not sure, if this might be important to know in that case (since I am still not 100% sure what the actual problem is, sorry): the multiband version splits the signal into multiple bands, by default splitted by frequency, and then applies the effect to that frequency only. Since different frequencies can have a different kind of energy, the result is for sure different than with the single-band version. So I would guess that it's totally normal for the MB versino to output a different loudness is well.
Maybe for people on the long end like me: could you make a screen cap of what's going on on your site? Or at least paste some single-band and MB presets into a code-tag here and explain what you are expecting this preset to do after all? I am still a bit lost, tbh.
