Is it possible (from code perspective) to have separate loop in the editor mode?

Morning.

This is rather question to meneer Jo. Something that could be considered as an improvement.
The thing I am asking is related to the edited part. We know we can set Loop Start / End markers in Edited part but this is per part itself (setting how it will be played in the Composer). Cursor will go outside edited part.
Frequent task I am doing is editing parts, especially percussion ones. Switching solo for the track and setting cursor on the beginning of the part is not a big deal. Whenever I want to loop only this part I need to set Loop Start and Loop End markers on the Compose so if I go to Edit mode then I can see that part is really looped.
Would it be possible to add switch (in a case we have users who are good with the current workflow) to open part in edit mode with dedicated loop mode? [doing all that manual work under the hood]
That way you can just double click (maybe with Alt or something / Ctrl+Alt for separate window mode) and Edit mode will open with Loop Start and Loop End markers set for that part (preferably without changing Loop Start and Loop End markers set on Compose)

Unless I am missing something obvious, please share with me any thoughts.

Seems very much like the workflow of FLS, LMMS, Live, and BWS. Build loops/parts/scenes and then arrange them. Mulab 9 is reported to have live-like clip launching planned which will be similar to scene launching in Live/BWS. Not quite the same as FLS parts, but I think it'll do the job for you. NLE work flows are pretty cool, but definitely a different way of thinking in terms of a DAW. More and more are picking it up though.
