I have a patch in MSF that uses the global envelope as normal, but what I would like to do is turn off the global envelope and use Env1 to manage the envelopes of two oscillators and Env2 to manage a third oscillator. But when I do this, the overall volumes are not correct and not what I expected.
So I set up a test to A/B the differences, using a single sawtooth oscillator. On 'A' I used the global envelope and on 'B' I disabled the global envelope (via Advanced Settings > Voicing > Global ADSR Use to 'Off") and copied the envelope shape to Env1 and used it to control the volume of the oscillator (which has a starting volume of 'silence').
Using LoudnessAnalyser in the FX path to measure the volume, I can see they are outputing at different levels and I cannot seem to match the volumes on all the gauges in the analyser. So what am I missing here? I would be grateful for some insight.
Below are the patches for the A/B test to copy and paste and compare.

The problem here is the nonlinearity applied to the volume.
In A you have the global ADSR, which set to linear in Advanced settings / Global ADSR use. Set it to Volume squared to make it the same response as B.
On the other side of things, in B you are modulating Volume parameter of an oscillator, which has squared shape for improved workflow, like almost every Volume control in Melda plugins. If you want the linear shape you used in A, instead of using volume of the oscillator, use module "Mul", which directly multiplies the ADSR without any transformation.
