Waveform newbie here with a quick question. Is there a tutorial online that covers control of external midi devices? Just simple stuff such as automating cut-off or other CC controllable parameters.
I've worked through most of the online videos plus the manual but can only find details for controlling plugin or mixer parameters rather than external sound modules.
Notes and Program Change events are passed correctly to my external hardware - I just can't figure out how to send CC messages!
Thanks
Sending CC to external hardware.

Are you sure you HAVE cc events in your track? You can see them in the midi editor - there's a drop-down that allows you to see (and even draw in) cc changes.
Second thing - on your external device, sometimes you have to specify WHICH "classes" of MIDI events are recognized - like SYSEX, cc, program change, etc.

Thanks Peter. I'd missed the Controller option on the piano roll. Drawing CC curves works perfectly but I was hoping for something more interactive. For now, I've set up a custom page on my Launchpad X which is better than nothing.
A nice feature would be something like Bitwigs 'Midi CC' plugin allowing controllers to be modified and assigned to a faceplate.
