So i'm entering the wonderful world of melda, and this is what i figured works best for me (also in conjuction with MXXXCore)

MBassador
MCharacter
MCompare
MFreeFXBundle
MGranularMB
MHarmonizerMB
MMultiAnalyzer
MTransformer
MUnison
MVocoder
MXXXCore

I'm not super interested in compressors and EQs since i have... Enough of them, really, more than I use already :)
I'd rather not add more this time around, spending more than i planned already :ud:
Was thinking about swapping something from here out for MWobbler

Went with my original list.
Some have become my go-to plugins in a day. :D

MHarmonizerMB is the best harmonizer bar none - when you think "oh these breaths and sibilances are making things sound weird" then you remember that "MB" in Melda means not only frequency bands, but a lot of other "bands" (Tonal/transient) and BAM a clean harmony layer that doesn't clash on sibilances and breaths.

I wish i'd gotten more plugs lol, missing some tools in MXXXCore.

Getting M1 MacBook soon - I hope for not-too-distant Apple Silicon support :)

I can't believe I used to not-like Melda plugins, it's been a while since i was this impressed with plugins.
Moreover, as convoluted as they can be, they're immensely FUN!

Thank you!

As for M1 - we'll see. I have this thing here for some time already and didn't even run it yet :D. I'm afraid of it :D . Personally I'd advice to wait. First of all believing the Apple benchmarks is a really bad idea, this classic Apple marketing. But even if it would be that awesome, it will take time before things become stable. This is a different architecture we are talking about. There are numerous problems just with macOS updates, which don't add anything too useful, this is a completely different world. So I'd suggest being patient and look forward :)

I still have my Mini i7 intel that i'm gonna test against the M1 MacBook - some numbers Urs from u-he posted are unbelievably in line with Apple's marketing

The problem is, the architectures are very different, so the actual benchmarks matter. For example, x86 has advantages when running multiple cores vs. M1 is more into single threaded performance. Then there's the fact, that M1 only has half of high-power cores. Everything has it's advantages and disadvantages, we'll see how that all ends. Personally I think M1 has no chance, too little cores, but when they make high end versions, who knows. Perhaps x86 will die after all :o

Hehe I'm afraid this one is single threaded, so... kinda in favour of M1 :)
