I can't seem to get the Delay order parameter (under LR -> designer) to behave as one would expect. For instance, I have this simple multitap:

When the Delay order is set to 'random', the algorithm above produces echoes at random intervals, as expected. When set to 'up', the echoes occur at increasing intervals, again as expected. The 'down' setting, intuitively, would produce echoes at decreasing intervals (if I understood all this correctly), but in this case it does not. It's identical to 'up' setting.
Curiously, different modules and even random algorithms I've tried also seem to be indifferent to up/down setting, so I'm wondering where and when it might actually make a difference? Have I stumbled upon a bug or am I missing something obvious?

From the help file;
"Delay order controls the order of the delay lengths. On its own it doesn't make much sense, but along with other order settings it lets you set lowest coefficients for smallest delays for example. It also lets you control which parts of the algorithm get which delay lengths."
I don't think this is describing simply the time intervals between echoes. Taken along with 'Input order' ("Input order controls the order of the input coefficients.") and 'Output order' ("Output order controls the order of the output coefficients.") it seems to imply that these parameters take each part of the algorithm and apply constants to each individual section. Possibly so you can treat each section of the algorithm differently and alter the delay lengths of each.
My knowledge of the syntax of the algorithm still needs to be improved but I've tinkered with these in the past and never quite understood how these logically affect the sound I'm hearing.
Still a wonderful piece of coding, you fiddle with that algorithm and it surprises me every time - love it

To clarify: by 'echo intervals' I was referring to the response of the example multitap algorithm. It was my understanding that the delay modules can be arranged inside the serial tap module in sequence either randomly or by delay length, according to the Delay order setting.
