Mouse click issues with Linux Reaper and U-he plugins

I get similar issues as described in this post with Reaper running in Xubuntu 20.10 and all U-he plugins that I have:

viewtopic.php?t=295456

I.e. when clicking the left button I get a context menu. In rare occasions, the left button works as a left button. This happens neither with any Linux native nor Windows plugins. Any ideas on how to confront this?

One user found out that it happens due to a different keyboard layout he is using:
