Now with NI's sales, I wonder if I should get hold of Satin. I would want to have it as tape restauration plugin. At the moment we get A and B types. I guess its the dolby variant. I have no idea what uhx should refer to.
Back in the days, we had for cassettes A,B and C from dolby. At the university studio we had the Telefunken High-com system and there was also a DBX compander...
The demo does not explain a lot, and I wonder if there are plans to implement the missing ancient noise reduction systems.

I think the UHX is the DBX

replace the uh from uhx with a db 8)

There was talk about a C type, but I don't remember where this was at. It's not likely to come in the near future, but I wouldn't rule it out either.

If I look at the methods back then, the pre/deemphasis of High-Com reminds me also at the methods used to cut vinyl. I imagine a future version which could also be used as vinyl simulation and indirectly as phono preamp... Not just as sound enhancing FX, but for restoration purposes of old recordings...
