Would be super handy if MSF had a customizable arpeggiator or rhythm editor for stringed instruments in MSF. Similar to what is available in Mdrummer, since there are mutes, and other gestures that aren't necessarily regular linear notes.
A guitar or a harp or a violin would be an awesome creation with this feature.

Msiundfactoey doesn't have an arpeggiator, where you can control individual stings, or types of plucks... It would be the same idea as the different drums and cymbals within Mdrummer , but for everything else

There's got to be something I don't understand.

Why not just use MDrummer? Just use whatever samples you like
(as in anything.... not just drum kit samples).
Sure, the GUI is a drum machine, but this drum machine does everything-
like a super sampler.
I don't see anything that prevents anyone from using it for
a bunch of other stuff.
Am I crazy? Yes. But so is Vojtek. Only he's way smarter. Brilliant really.
As for me, I'm merely clever sometimes.

Part of the Asperger's I guess LOL... It's just so hard to use and drummer, I'd assume that it would be a logical evolution though in M sound factory, since as I've said before not all notes are just pit shifted some have specific properties and cadences and some are completely different

I imagine (as a non-coder) that MDrummer could be adapted/retooled to make other stuff. I'm dreaming of something a little more simple. Right now, I always wind up using Presonus Studio One's Pattern Editor. In that one, editing is easy, and it's very simple to randomize notes for any row. And you can easily show/hide the lanes. Works great for making variations of drum patterns.
I'm also getting into using Scaler by Pluginboutique:
I guess what I'm dreaming of is a cross between S1's Pattern Editor & Scaler & a sampler - as a standalone that could be used in MSoundFactory & MXXX.
All of that, yet simpler to use than MDrummer.
Piece of cake....right?
