I recently upgraded to W11 and also recently accidentally discovered in a youtube video that Logic Pro has something called Smart Tempo and as far as I understand, you can feed it audio material and it will detect the tempo and adjust the track tempo accordingly.
That's slick because I'm currently working with static tempo when sketching songs and they end up feeling very lifeless. In the past, I've tried to manually vary tempo but it was cumbersome and it also didn't feel natural.
Is there are counterpart to Logic's Smart Tempo feature in W11 or is there any plan to implement something like that? I've looked around the manual but I don't think there's anything.
Thanks!

I haven't used it, but believe that functionality is included as "Groove Doctor" in Waveform.

Oh this is very cool. I totally missed this since I jumped from W8 to W11. Maybe it hasn't yet made it's way into the user guide pdf. Thanks people!

Tried this a bit and it's pretty difficult with a guitar audio clip. I'm not lazy, I can totally take the time to adjust the markers but I was under the impression that GD would do better to catch the attack of the guitar pick. If there are any tricks to make it work better/to facilitate the whole process, let me know. I'm thinking that I could just play a kick manually listening back to my guitar track and analyze that kick track instead of the guitar. Should work a lot faster than dragging all these markers around, as far as I can see.
