I've done some more sampling exercises. Nothing for a clean product, but I'd like to stay in contact with MSoundfactorys Possibilities.
I like this multisampled Upright-Bass-Sound in the deep Octaves very much. It has been sampled with 176,4 khz. I should have gone higher in the notes, it was just a test, so in the higher Octaves it sounds very unnatural. As I said, the lows sound VERY good.

I allways used my Sample - Program - Converter "TX2SFZ" together with the mighty TX16WX - Sampler. It was hard for me to kkep track with all the changes and I bet 60% of the time people found it not working, because my ruby code was just too bad. Lately I invested some more time to clean the code and - in my tempo - found new solutions & I think it now works better than ever before & there are still some 'big' solutions, where I could analyze the tx16wx programs in a much more matching way, so that my translator could handle groups etc...

I used TX2SFZ for the actual Upright-Instrument but today I started checking all the changes in MSoundfactory and maybe my little converter-vst-plugin comes to an end:

I see the new grid editor in MSoundfactory with sorting helps, I see the automatic region selection when playing midi, I see the rootnote set to be visually dragging a red keyboard key and I see the interface for arranging the regions filling my whole screen if I want it. This beast has come a long way (a short time for the normal world, but heavy developement in the melda universum).
MSoundfactory has become a mature Sampler!!! OK, no scripting so far, but lets see where we are after another year...

So I guess I will try to build my next sample-instruments withing MSoundfactory. The best thing will be, that they can be exported to SFZ, so I can even use them on my ipad with virsyn sampler... i bet... wow, this is what I wished for years, such an universal sampling format with a great editor. I spent endless hours on my converter plugin, but I think it won't be needed anymore...

Thank you!
BUT, I tried downloading it to check it out and you entered a password, which means, we need serial keys :)
