I am trying to install the demo of Blue Cat Patchwork plugin in Pro Tools 12 on OS X Catalina.
I downloaded the DMG and followed the Catalina instructions.
The standalone application wass installed to `/Applications/` but there is no AAX plugin (.aaxplugin file) in `/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins`, and so it's not available in Pro Tools.
Does anyone know what's going on here? Do I need to buy a license before it will install the AAX? That would seem very strange to me.

The standalone app and AAX plug-in are simply different installers. You can download and install the Mac AAX demo to get the AAX plug-in in Pro Tools (make sure to launch the installer while Pro Tools is not running).
