Hi I am using Valhalla room reverb inside patchwork VST3 and as soon it stops receiving sound tail gets silenced like some gate effect. Same plugin works normally in DAW (reaper)

Any inputs on this?

Post

I think the VST3 version indeed does not report its tail properly, and PatchWork will stop processing when possible to save CPU. The VST2 might however be fine if I remember well.

Thanks for the feedback! I am not technical but I asked around and get info of workaround that actually works. Load vst2 version of free plugin called "multiply" by acon audio on pre-insert in patchwork and bypass it and you wont get gated tail.

I don't have patchwork but this sounds like auto-suspending
Is there no otion to turn this off ?
Eyeball exchanging
Soul calibrating ..frequencies

There is no option to turn it off, but if the plug-ins report the tail length properly there is no issue.

Probably that is the case, I have been told that few other plugins have same tail gate issue. But the workaround I mentioned above works remarkable well.

Just for the record there is now an option to deactivate the auto turn this off for each plug-in slot.
