Greetings,I am trying out the DEMO version of Patchworks and am strongly considering a purchase, but I do have questions.
When I loaded an instrument plugin into a standalone instance of Patchworks I then wish to be very selective where it receives MIDI. The options I see are 16 channels of "Host" and then 16 virtual ports with 16 MIDI channels within. The virtual channels are fine I suppose, but they do not tie in with my Audio-MIDI setup in any way that I can see. I am using Mac OS Mojave and in my Audio-MIDI Setup and I have a variety of MIDI controllers and sources. The "Host" option just offers 16 MIDI channels that apparently are not tied to any specific MIDI device in my MIDI Setup. I would like to send MIDI from an IAC port -which is what I usually do for standalone virtual instruments, but that is not an apparent option. My keyboard rig has many streams of MIDI and I would be forced to use the standalone completely isolated, which is ordinarily not practical. Am I missing something here?
Also, how are the virtual MIDI connections typically used in standalone?
