When I use a string generator (in monophonic mode), if I hold a note its volume fades into silence. If I press another note during the fade the other note will play, but it will be lower in volume, because it followed the volume/filter fade of the first note. This makes sense to me as long as notes are being held down on the keyboard, but if I completely lift my hand off the keyboard and play another note it exhibits the same behavior UNLESS I wait until the entire release on the global envelope has completed to the end.
This behavior makes no sense and I can't get any of the retrigger modes to work correctly with this. What I want is the default "smooth" behavior, but as soon as no notes are being pressed the string generator is reset. It makes no sense to me that the string generator would need the decay of the last note to completely ring out in order to get reset, that's not how plucks on a string work. I'm unable to make a faux electric guitar patch because of this.

Thanks, that seems to work. I tried "Allow multiple monophonic voices" earlier and it didn't seem to behave how I wanted it to, but maybe I didn't have it in "smooth" or "none". Cheers.
