Hi. Wondered if anyone could outline the basic setup for the Mvocoder. I get sound through it but no filter. It also seems to be little info on this elsewhere?

Did you watch the tutorials on the website? https://www.meldaproduction.com/MVocoder
But it's a bit much information if you just want to play around with it, so here's how you get started.
The basic setup is this: Use a synth sound (with lots of harmonic content e.g. a saw wave) as the input (carrier) and your vocals as the side-chain (modulator) input.
There needs to be overlap between both signals in the frequency spectrum.
Also, don't forget to turn down your vocal track so you only hear the vocoded vocals.
Not sure what you mean with "filter".

Thanks for that. I can't seem to get a grip on how the carrier and the modulator gets into the plugin. In Arturia V vocoder there is a keyboard attached, and the videos available are for an older version. Is the plug sidechained? Not obvious button for that, so if you use a keyboar along vocals to get effect, how do you set it up?

Yes, like I said, the carrier signal (synth) is the normal input and the modulator (voice) is sidechained. You'd have to ask in your DAW's forum if you don't know how to side-chain.
And while the plugin looks a little different, it still functions the same as show in the videos.
Arturia Vocoder V already contains a synth, that's why it only needs a voice as the input where as MVocoder needs both.

Choose any synth you like that you can control with your keyboard and put that in front of MVocoder in the FX chain. Then use your vocals as side-chain input.DudealazyCraz wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 10:05 am Not obvious button for that, so if you use a keyboar along vocals to get effect, how do you set it up?
