just wondering if it MSoundFactory replaces MPowerSynth. I'm new to both so I'm trying to work out what to invest my time in learning :-)

thanks,

Think of MSoundFactory of the really big brother of MPowerSynth. What you can do in MPS is always possible in MSF. MSF is like the extremely extended version of MPS.

Although this does not mean that MPS is not a good synth or so! It totally depends on your needs. If you want to really quick come up with some synth tunes, without the need to dig to deep into such a plugin, MPS is nice. If you, on the other hand, want to really be able to control almost every tiny bit of the sound / plugin, MSF might be a good option.

I, personally, did replace MPS with MSF already, since I like to be in control. (-;

Thanks very much for that. I think I'll start off with Synth then and then expand into MSF after I get my head around the simpler one :-)

Seems like a nice idea.

Yes, from my perspective, MSoundFactory is "the ultimate instrument", while MPowerSynth is "just" a specific synth.
