Hi,

I feel like I'm missing out on the potential of soft synths without a MIDI controller that has several knobs so I'm in the market for such a device that works well with W11.

I've seen various devices of this sort that look suitable, such as AKAI MIDImix, Behringer BCR2000, etc. The first-hand market is limited here to the major brands but I've also seen some 2nd-hand stuff like Doepfer Pocket Dial.

My hope is that I can get something that is not too large physically and that only has knobs. More importantly, I hope that I can map the knobs to some selected plugin parameters and save this setup and recall it later. So I am trying to create the experience of hardware--I want to twist knobs to experiment with sound and record these motions into the automation tracks.

I would like to get something that has worked out well for someone else using W11.

I am also in the market for a 4 x 4 pad controller so it could be something that combines pads with knobs.

I have the nanokontrol2 but I use it for transport and I want to keep that separate.

Thanks!
Windows 11/Linux Manjaro KDE + Waveform 11.
