Hey guys here is a mixer project I have been working on. I wanted to share it with yall as well ask for advise on better ways to implement it. I am not a complete noob with Mux but not real experienced either,

This console was made using mostly Airwindows vsts. I have done some others I will share in the future once I have tweaked everything down.

The video shows what I am doing and how I got there. It works in Mulab 8 as well.

I have attached the preset file below.

Enjoy and feel free to give improvement suggestions

Latest version Aug 20, 2021
Added insert points on all channels and busses
added drum sub mixer w/ FX
Fixed some routing issues
Changed the color sceme to reflect the new name Root Beer

Just updated the Mux preset file. I ran into some routing issues and made some minor additions. The zip file now includes a read me file with more detail.

Curious how you put multiple audio inputs into a single channel. Is there an easy way to do this?

If you are talking about the bus section. It really is a simple as dragging the audio output of one module to the input of another module. They will accept multiple lines and if you need to control their individual levels going in......you add an amplifier to each.

If you are talking about routing from channels in your daw .....that's a bit more involved. I am using Reaper and it's quite flexible and easy to assign those things. But I did learn using Reaper s 1 and 2 are off limits because by default it passes those to the master out.

I have made some more changes and am going to do a group of videos that explains my choices, exactly how to put it together and a full demonstration on a complete mix.

I will post my latest version once I go through it carefully. I found some more routing errors yesterday. Things like moving channel 5 fader also moves channel 6

Thank you. Yes, I would like to know how you routed Reaper for this. Looking forward to your vids!

A more specific question...in MUX I can place multiple Audio Input modules in the workspace. Can these have audio files playing through them? I cannot find it if they can. Sorry for such a noob question...

I was able to make the routing video today. It will take me a few hrs to get it up on YouTube. That in itself may answer the question.

Reaper and Mux are both quite deep so it is understandable that unless you have used a particular feature before you may not be familiar with it.

A video showing how to set up the routing in reaper. The link to the latest version is in the description. I will do some more testing before uploading it to my first post in this thread.
