X-Touch Mini question?

when using X-Touch mini (8 endless knobs) in "mackie control universal" and device control mode
i can select vst device and control parameters via knobs but...
the first two knobs don't control anything and next two control wet and dry values
this gives me only 4 knobs to control sound of my vst instrument

is there any chance that i can use 8knobs to control my vst parameters?
(specifically Redux which has exactly 8 programmable macros)
