Pop out icon placement

Hi,
I'm just starting to use this forum and don't know my way around yet; if there's a place for requests and so on.
However, this is a usability thing i run into all the time. The pop out icon to help you work better, often gets hidden when it's placed to the right side, and thereby often defeating its purpose for me.
It would be great to have it directly on the left hand instead, or somewhere close to that, as per my mockup (right before to "BITFUN").
- Am I alone experiencing this?

I agree. That's probably a sensible change.
But if you didn't know, you can also shift+click on a module as an additional option to pop out the window until this gets implemented.

I didn't. This is great too. Thanks!
Is there a place to read up on more power user stuff like this?

I also recommend the advanced tutorials on the Melda website, mainly about multiparameters, bands and modulation.

Yes, DarkStar, I've picked up a lot through Chandlers videos already. Can't say I've watched all of them. Not as daunting as watching all of Kenny Gioia's Reaper vids - but I've had more time with them through the years.
Thanks, ralfrobert, I've watched a lot there too (and re-watching). Melda's stuff needs some time and MSF is jam packed. It's just what it is. I'll get there. Will aim to hang out here more as well. Good to see Vojtech being around from time to time as well.
Cheers!

In case somebody did not know: You can middle click on a module to directly float it!
System: Win 10 64 bit / i9 9900K (8x 3.6 GHz) / 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM / 1TB M.2 SSD + 2x 500 GB SSD / RME Babyface / Reaper

Generally, it's a good idea to press all the '?' buttons and read it, although it can be difficult to filter out the repetitive stuff.jan-sandahl wrote: Tue Sep 28, 2021 7:51 pm Is there a place to read up on more power user stuff like this?
What I prefer is to hover my mouse over stuff and press F1 (or cmd/ctrl+h alternatively) which shows you the help for that specific thing. And sometimes even for things that don't have a '?' button. If you press F1 on top of the modular grid, you get the following:
Although it's not always correct or complete. Above it says, ctrl+click opens the advanced settings window, but for me it bypasses the plugin.Modular editor lets you edit the processing flow. There is at least one input at the top, several outputs at the bottom and several processing boxes in-between. Processing is always performed from top to bottom and is indicated by a solid line. All outputs except the first one are disabled by default, unless you put a plugin into its chain. Every output can be disabled by clicking on it.
Each processing box can contain one plugin. By default all plugins are taking their inputs directly from above (thus from the same chain that they are in), but if you for example put a plugin in the first row of the second chain, there is no input above, so it is redirected to the first input. Some plugins may have multiple input channels or even a variable number of input channels. Most plugins have just one output channel, in which case they place the output into the same chain that they are in. Some plugins have variable output channels in which case they send them to the same channel, the next one to the right and so on.
If you click on an empty box a menu with all available processing plugins will be shown. If you click on a box which already contains a plugin, it will be selected and its editor shown to the right. The currently-selected plugin is highlighted.
If you hold Ctrl and click on the plugin or click using right mouse button, the advanced settings window will be displayed. You can use it to configure the plugin input and output channels and much more.
Double-click on the plugin to enable or disable it.
Hold Alt and click on the plugin to delete it.
Hold Shift and click on the plugin to show its editor in a pop-up window.
And it doesn't mention the middle mouse click to pop out the window that Tagirius mentioned. I didn't know you could do that either.

If you find inaccuracies / ambiguities / omissions in the Help info then let MeldaProduction know on their Contact form, with, where possible, a suggested change. They will then consider updating the text.
