Linux Drag and Drop not working

I'm using Tracktion Waveform Pro 11.5.18 on Ubuntu 21.04. Overall its working very well except - certain plugins require drag and drop, such as the Drum Sampler and Multi Sampler. To add a new clip/wav-file it must be dragged onto the plug-in and it doesnt work at all under linux (might be due to Wayland).

Is there a workaround, and if not, please consider adding a UI action to open a file dialog via menu choice, like some plugins have, that bypasses the whole drag and drop problem. Thanks!
