The only real problem I have with "puristic" FM synths is their lack of a decent filter, and you have to mess around with additional operators and envelopes to create fake filters.

While we are moving away from analogs and sine waves and are getting into the digital domain, I think this is why I always loved the sound of the Nonlinear Labs C15. The sound sources are just two sine waves.

Does anyone remember which Reaktor ensemble Stephan Schmitt modelled the C15 after?

Vermona 14 VCO1 has a sine.

It also has a sub osc sine an octave lower.

In terms of a pure powerful sine it's pretty immense.

some with sine wave it can look almost like a triangle
