Clip disappears as soon as i stop recording.

Over the last couple days, many of my takes (using a midi controller i've been using fine for a couple months) will just disappear as soon as i stop recording, whether its via space bar, the mouse, or the buttons on my controller. It also doesn't seem to matter which method i use to begin recording. I can press "r" or click the GUI with mouse, or use the button on my controller. All of these methods, in any combination, worked fine until recently. I'm trying to figure out if I'm just suddenly forgetting something obvious, or if i accidentally toggled some type of preference option, or if there's a bug.

UPDATE (unsure if solved tho): So i just closed and reopened the program. I got a pop-up asking me to log in to check for updates (odd, because i'm usually automatically logged in). So i logged in. No updates available (already up to date)...but now it seems to be working. Still, i don't know if this is a temporary reprieve from the problem, or what caused it
