Would it be possible to add some microfades on step progression as an option? e.g., if on step 1 I have an output playing input 1 and on step 2 it progresses to input 3, could we get a rapid fade out on input 1 and fade in on 3, to minimize clicking?
Or looking for zero crossings to implement changes? Maybe that's a better method, I'm not sure about their relative strengths, effectiveness, and processing demands.

Yep, we've been thinking about this. This could be an optional setting.
I think we already have a pretty good idea for click-free-ness (This is my first morning post, I need more coffee or else I make up words) in the way we implemented the mutes in Mode 1. Another idea is to simply use the Glide setting (which already transitions step volumes).
I wished we had some kind of contact to our hardware customers, it would be nice to know if people for instance use Mode 2 with the built-in quantiser and if they want to use this together with smoother transitions. It would be much easier and faster to implement if it's either smooth transitions or quantiser.
Hmmm, maybe we should start a mini-survey on MW? We have some time before we can start on this due to a) pandemic restrictions and b) because our new hardware engineer is erupting with module ideas.

I bought a second one! I try to avoid having duplicates for variety's sake but couldn't find a better fit for what I needed. I look forward to, umm, seeing the fruit of your engineer's eruptions? Gross.
