MUX VST install how to.....

Hi,

Most people's default VST plugins folder inside Program Files.
Such folders are protected from writing by non-admin users.
The choices are:
1) Install it in a folder that is writeable by your user account and then point all your VST hosts to this folder too.
2) Install it in a folder that is writeable by your user account but put a symlink in the traditional Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins folder to your new location.
eg:
I copied the extracted MUX download to C:\Users\cousin_itt\Documents\Music\MUX (64 bit)
I opened a command prompt with admin privileges then entered something like the following:

mklink /j "C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\MUX" "C:\Users\cousin_itt\Documents\Music\MUX (64 bit)"

This technique has been mentioned in this forum before, but it's wasn't very searchable.
