How to disable key event swallowing

I have key switches in Ableton set for various controls. But if I have MCompare open at all, it stops allowing the key events to pass by and into Ableton.

How can I disable Melda plugins from swallowing the keyboard events and not letting them pass?

I think this should do it:
Settinga : Global System Settings >> "Forward unused keyboard input ...."

Also try Settings / Enable keyboard input.
