instead of drag plugins to individual tracks, to speed process up - i drag the first instance to "Track1". i then copy "Track1" instance and paste it to many audio tracks.

But with the multianalyzer it does not refresh the state of the plugin when pasted to new track (i.e. when pasted plugin is opened it still references "Track 1" as its target to process audio information.

all other plugs i use update their current state to the new track the plugin is pasted to.

i only do this as a major timesaver - but cannot do it with Melda Plugins.

is it supposed to be this way?

Thanks, Jim

Yes, similar behaviour here (Windows 7, Reaper, VT2).
-- I inserted MMA on a track, named that instance "One" and changed its colour to red
-- I copied it to another track
-- Both instances are named "One" and are coloured red.

also, i copied 2 plugins at once (auto align and char) from one track to another. didnt notice anything wrong at the time. Later on in different session i add ONLY auto align and an instance of Mchar gets loaded with it.

i did not want Mchar to get loaded with auto align.
somehow it saved that whacky combo into memory.

Something else that's interesting is, in reaper, if you have a project on a second tab with the plugin then MMultiAnalyzer will still register the tracks from the first project. So Drums from Project Tab 1 will appear in the list of the plugin that's open in Project Tab 2.

Not that I ever use tabbed sessions.
