Greetings... As a long time Ableton user, setting up and controlling external synths with midi has been a breeze. I have recently moved on to try out Traktion Waveform and, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get things working. I have tried for hours, messing with the inputs/outputs, sending midi to an audio track and numerous other things, but can't seem to get anything to work. I did manage to send midi to a monosynth and get the left channel working only through the direct monitor mix on my audio interface. No USB monitoring worked at all. No sound coming through that way. That is as far as I got...
In Ableton I just drop an external instrument template I made for each of my synths into a midi track and move on making music. Can it be so hard to do so in Waveform?
Could anyone point me to a tutorial or help out in anyway? Thanks in advance!

It's just a matter of selecting the right midi in and outs on the midi track you want to use. If you use a midi channel other than 1, you set the channel on the clip you want the synth to play.
You can of course record the synth output on an audio track while a midi track plays the synth.

Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and even Deezer, whatever the hell Deezer is.
