MDrummer doesn't start a loop on the first beat, even though trigger correct

I'm having trouble with MDrummer getting confused for no apparent reason:

Some data:
- DAW: Ardour (with Jack)
- System: MacOS (Monterey on M1)
- MDrummer: AU (licensed)

My song starts in 6/8 114BPM and then transitions to 4/4 152BPM.
My drums are only used in the 4/4 part, and I had it successfully programmed using MIDI-triggered loops.

Suddenly (after some editing which involved also some tempo/signature change *before* the start of any drum rhythms) my loops don't start playing on the first beat anymore, even though the trigger note is definitely exactly on the first beat of a measure in the DAW and the signature of the rhythm matches the one on the DAW at that point.

A test beat in 3/4 on the 6/8 section that starts at the first beat in the DAW is still ok.

I experienced the same effect in another project which was in 48kHz (tried a lot but gave up) and assumed that was the reason. This project (44.1kHz) started fine, but is now broken as described above.

Any ideas?

My guess would be that the DAW of yours doesn't send proper time info and/or sends the MIDI notes too late or something. To be honest, I don't even know what your DAW is. Feel free to send us a simple project demonstrating that via the contact form, but also include the link to this DAW.

The DAW is Ardour (https://ardour.org/ (https://ardour.org/)) (a bit surprised it's not known, since it's probably the most mature all-platform open-source general purpose DAW out there).

It doesn't seem the timing/processing of the trigger note itself is off, because the loop starts playing at the correct moment, the problem is that the playhead *in the loop* starts "in the middle" (on the third beat within the loop in this case). MIDI notes in general (like the separate MDrummer track in drumpad mode) don't have any timing issues whatsoever.

I'll see how I can send some consistent example which reproduces this issue when I find time later...

Zatím děkuju za pomoc! :)
